Howdy, all. My life has gotten to the point where I really have nothing interesting to say anymore. Seriously, I'm either spouting things I heard elsewhere, or I sit and listen. I think my creativity circuit's busted, which would explain the lack of progress on the story, for which I apologize. I recently picked up Borderlands for the 360, which is bloody awesome, by the way. As I paid the $80, I realized just how casually we're shelling out for the next new bit of entertainment. Between blockbuster games like Borderlands, Modern Warfare 2, and this fucktarded 'DJ Hero' they've come out with, it seems as if the nerd is destined to be a pauper in the 'age of the circuit board'. We're always drawn to the next big toy. The shiny camera, the quad-core, multi-gigahertz, mega-mega-super processor, or the 500" plasma TV that irradiates your muscles to make them grow and scratches your balls. It's as if nerds have turned on one another to kill eachother off. It's not as if we can have the 'Alpha Nerd' to rule over the pack of females who find a controller sexier than a dumbell. Also gone are the days of the 'inexpensive' entertainment. You can't go to a festival and spend a few dollars to have a fun day. Between the candies, meals, games, and 'rides', if you could call them such a glorified title, the common carny probably takes more money back to his trailer which he shares with the riding ponies than most fast-food employees take home to their sub-basement bachelor apartments. Perhaps we should boycott the money-grubbing entertainment sector. Revoke your WoW and Live subscriptions, cancel your internet and cable, scream from the rooftops that you won't take it anymore, and you demand to find satisfaction in nature and your peers. Or, you know... just turn on your console..........
